Des weiteren gibt es auf mpd.shack mehrere NFS-Freigaben, über die die MPD-Clients in den Räumen übers Netzwerk mithilfe von PXE booten.

Auf die Musikbibliothek kann über sshfs (shack@mpd.shack:~/music/), NFS oder Samba (\\mpd.shack\music) zugegriffen werden.
Hat man neue Musik hinzugefügt, sollte man per <code>mpc update</code> über ssh einen Rescan der Musikbibliothek anstoßen.
