Whole Rainbow Trout

When served with a side of veggies, rice, or potatoes, one 1/2kg trout is good for one to two persons.

Preparation

  1. Slice garlic (4 to 5 1mm slices required per fish)
  2. Cut onion into half-rings
  3. Clean the fish from inside and outside under running water
  4. Seasoning (applied to inside)
    • Salt
    • Juice of 1/4 to 1/2 of a lemon
    • 4 to 5 slices of garlic
    • Add some sage leaves as well as dill and marjoram
    • Add onion
  5. Wrap fish in aluminum foil and place on baking tray
  6. Put into pre-heated oven at 170C for 15min (check after 10min)
  7. Fish is done when the eyes turn opaque white
